"We are proud to serve as volunteer
board members for our local United Way and to have guided the fund-raising
efforts for 2010. It is both amazing and humbling to see what we
and our 34 partner agencies are able to accomplish with your help.
Thank you for helping us continue our community's long and proud
tradition of supporting our fellow citizens in times of need. We
sincerely appreciate your support!"
Campaign Facts
-
Over 99% of every dollar raised by United Way stays right
here. These are dollars that circulate back into our local
economy, dollars that help each of us make a living here.
-
A goal of United Way is to minimize community fundraising
efforts by having a once-a-year fundraising campaign on behalf
of all the agencies. This combined workplace and community-
wide effort helps keep fundraising costs to a minimum.
-
You, The Donor - As a donor to United Way you have the option
to:
-
Give your contribution directly to United Way. Community
volunteers will determine how funds should be distributed
based on a review of each agency's mission, outcomes, funding needs and financial reports.
-
Designate your dollars to a special area of need, or
-
Designate your money to any United Way partner agency
or other non-profit agency in the community. The choice
is yours.
