36 Agencies Comprise This Community
Network
Numerous community-based agencies make up our United
Way network. All these health and human service agencies are non-profit
charitable organizations run by a local volunteer Board of Directors.
A community safety net -
many of the United Way agencies comprise our community's safety
net for services. Often our community safety net is stretched very
thin. Your dollars fund a variety of community programs including
day care, job counseling, community education, youth intervention
and prevention programs and emergency food, shelter and clothing.
Where Do Your United Way Dollars Go?
As a donor to United Way your contribution is redistributed
to 36 human service agencies that provide a wide range of community
services to persons from birth to over 100. Your contribution is
an investment in people in our community. The return we all receive
is a stronger, healthier community.
