Annual Business - Human Service Luncheon
Help celebrate
community non-profit and business partnerships at the Annual
Business - Human Service Luncheon at Noon, May 28, 2008 at
the Red Lion Colonial Hotel.
The Kay McKenna Community Spirit Award will be presented to Rick
Pyfer, local attorney who has been a longtime community supporter
through both giving and volunteering.
The
Business - Human Service Partnership presentation
this year features Mountain West Bank's relationship with The
Angel Fund and RMDC Head Start.
Cost of the lunch is $15.00
per person. Reservations may be made by calling the

for our Early Bird Discount --$325.00 per 5 man team (After
June 1st the registration fee will be $375.00) --
Registration fee includes 2 carts per team, 18 holes of golf
and lunch.
We will again have door prizes, raffle prizes
and we will again be selling Mulligans.
This year every golfer will have the chance to qualify in our
putting contest for a chance to take home a $10,000 Prize!! This

County celebrated a successful campaign and held its annual
meeting to elect officers and board members on Tuesday, January
29th at the Red Lion Colonial Inn.

Exempt From Income Tax) as
of the fiscal year ending June 30, 2007 and our Financial
Statements as of June 30, 2007. A printed copy is available
in the United Way office at 805 North Last Chance Gulch during
our regular business office hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

2008 Dine Out Night was Wednesday, January 16,
2008
Five local restaurants
have pledged to donate a portion of their proceeds on Dine Out
Night to the United Way 2007-2008 Campaign. These restaurants are
as follows:
Brewhouse Pub & Grille
MacKenzie River Pizza Company
Mediterranean Grill
Silver Star Steak Company
Windbag Saloon

2007 Campaign Utilizes Online Giving
United Way of Lewis & Clark
County has become the first United Way organization in its
size category to join the United eWay Online Donation program.
Seven local Pacesetter firms
have piloted the system during the August - September Pacesetter
Campaign. These companies are AAA MountainWest, American Federal
Savings Bank, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Montana, Enterprise
Rent-A-Car, Heritage Propane Helena Housing Authority and Morrison-Maierle.
The general public is now
invited to access a special online giving page which will allow
each person to register and donate online. Just click on Donate
Online to begin.
United Way Board sets 2007-2008 Campaign Goal
After surpassing last year's
campaign goal of $675,000 by over $25,000 dollars, the United
Way Board of Directors has set the campaign goal for 2007 at
$725,000.
Darla Fitzpatrick, Maximus, is beginning her
second year as co-chair of the United Way campaign. She is joined
by Dan Anderson, Helena Food Share.

Drive for $725,00 Gets Its Own Logo
Nick Ladas,
graphic artist at Robert Peccia & Associates donated the
Drive for 725 logo which we will be using for the 2007-2008 United
Way campaign.
Steve Phillips of KMTX Radio donated the use of his 1934 Dodge
as a model. This car is shown in the photo above with campaign
co-chairs Dan and Darla.
18th Annual United Way Golf
Tournament Enjoys Success
36 teams enjoyed a sunny
day, a barbecue beef lunch and prizes donated by local businesses.
Cathy Salo, golf tournament coordinator, had to turn away several
teams after reaching the maximum number of 36.
The $100,000 Hole-in-One
Competition was sponsored by Morrison-Maierle and a
Shootout for a Subaru was sponsored by Placer Motors. Read
