United Way Board sets 2007-2008 Campaign Goal
After surpassing last year's
campaign goal of $675,000 by over $25,000 dollars, the United
Way Board of Directors has set the campaign goal for 2007 at
$725,000.
Darla Fitzpatrick, Maximus,
is beginning her second year as co-chair of the United Way
campaign. She is joined by Dan Anderson, Helena Food Share.
Campaign Co-chairs: Darla Fitzpatrick and Dan
Anderson
"As Co-Chairs of the 2007 campaign it is a
privilege and honor to bring United Way's message to the community.
It is a message that brings hope and opportunity to our neighbors
with special needs.
We see the homeless being assisted, our youth being mentored,
our senior citizens being helped to remain active and healthy,
disabled community members befirended, and our community being
able to respond to indivudal and family emergencies. We see
agencies working together to make sure people receive the help
they need.
Why do we see these results? It's because of you, for it is
through your charitable giving investment in our community
that local agencies are able to provide the above described
services.
Your contribution helps everyone from infants to senior citizens.
The Greater Helena Area has a long and proud tradition of being
a loving and caring community with your help United Way can
continue "Looking out for our Community."
Campaign Facts
-
Over 99% of every dollar raised by United Way stays right
here. These are dollars that circulate back into our local
economy, dollars that help each of us make a living here.
-
A goal of United Way is to minimize community fundraising
efforts by having a once a year fundraising campaign on behalf
of all the agencies. This combined work place and community
wide effort helps us in keeping fundraising costs to a minimum.
-
You, The Donor - As a donor to United Way you have the option
to:
-
Give your contribution directly to United Way (community
volunteers will determine how funds should be distributed
based on need).
-
Designate your dollars to a special area of need, or
-
Designate your money to any United Way or other non-profit
agency in the community. The choice is yours
