All are non-profit charitable organizations run by a local volunteer Board of Directors. A community safety net - many of the United Way agencies comprise our community's safety net for services. Often our community's safety net is stretched very thin. Your dollars fund a variety of community programs including day care, job counseling, community education, emergency disaster relief, youth intervention and prevention programs and emergency food, shelter and clothing. As a donor to United Way your contribution is redistributed to 31 human service agencies that provide a wide range of community services to persons from birth to over age 100.
